How you got to the planet was a story in of itself with it all starting when you were sent to space against your will in order to try and save Earth’s dying sun which was being eaten away by something known as an Astrophage which would condemn the planet to being a frozen rock. As such project Hail Mary was born and you and two other people were sent into space although not only had you been out for ten years at that stage in time but the other two people that had been sent with you had died, leaving you alone in space. You spent a few moments wandering around the ship, both confused about what you had to do and angry that you had just been kidnapped and sent into the void of space although you wouldn't be alone for long.
